Weekly Updates and Announcements:

News flash! This has been an oddly busy time for me -- I'm trying to switch computers (from a big desktop win7 - Linux machine to a windows 8 laptop with no Ubuntu)... and I think I lost my sermon files! I'm also trying to go to the 25th reunion at Concordia Theological Seminary next week; an it takes time to fill all three pulpits. I also got "volunteered" to be a parliamentarian at the IDW Convention in about 6 weeks, and I don't have Robert's Rules memorized. I look around and see the men going full-tilt in the fields - and don't expect sympathy :) But in all the busy-ness of life, it is vital to read God's Word each day. It's hard to keep the cart before the horse: DON'T make time for God's Word; "seek first the Kingdom of God" then make time for all the rest of life. You will find that is the best, godly way.
_The deadline for the news bulletin is Wednesday 8 AM. Please put them in writing and place them on Marlene's desk. The deadline for the next month's calendar is the third Sunday of the month before. A
test calendar is printed and posted so people can note problems, errors and
conflicts BEFORE it is printed and posted in the local newspapers and on
this website. If you missed a Sunday bulletin or need a calendar or Bible study or some other common public document, please try the DOWNLOADS page. We try to keep current. ANOTHER NOTE: Marlene will be gone from today until 5/24, so the bulletins will be scarce and calender may be late -- and I'll try to post sermons, but don't count on it :(
Quick FYI: Pictures of St. Peter are now posted on the Events page! Saint Peter does not usually record whole church services since hymns are often copyrighted (Thou shalt not steal applies here) as well as the organist's music. However, printed copies of the sermon are available on the Download page, as well as bulletins, sermons, news, and such which are usually posted from the immediately previous week & stick around a while. Calendars come and go. There are mp3's of sermons on the download page, too, some from St. Peter, and sometimes from the other files. I encourage shut-ins to listen as well as read the sermons.

Pictures from the January LWML Soup/Pie Luncheon, the Ash Wednesday Soup Supper, and Kirsten Bumsted's Bridal shower are up on the events page. Pictures of Annabelle's baptism are, too! And some landscaping done by Ken, Carole, David, Dale. The bottom of the info page has new pictures of First-Fonda and Immanuel-Pomeroy. Sermons are up, and other files...
